Other Synthesizing
The artist processes, classifies and systematizes the data from the experiences in a landscape, and focuses on ways to visualize screens composed of signs, symbols, and decorations. From 2016 to 2018, the artist was interested in landscapes composed of fictional images based on reality, and planned a tripartite exhibition SFD: Science Fiction Drawing that adopted the logic of the thesis, antithesis, synthesis, and expressed forms of mental labor and practice, individual rules, the landscape of desire, and decoration without narrative structure.

とある合成
ソン・ミンギュは、風景の経験から得たデータを加工、或いは分類することで体系化させ、それらを記号と象徴、そして、装飾によって構成される画面を作り出すこと によって視覚化する方式をテーマとして絵画的研究を進めている。2016年から2018年まで、現実に基づいた虚構的イメージで構成された風景に関心を持ち、正反合の論理を利用した展覧会3部作(SFD:Science Fiction Drawing)を企画した。そこでは、精神的労働と訓練、個人の規則、欲望の風景、叙事構造のない装飾を見せてくれた。 今回の展覧会は、その3部作の続編である。前回の展覧会までの中で完結していないストーリーと、当時発見できずに扱えなかった風景を中心に、「非可視的な世界における造形秩序」「夜の風景における闇の色」「意味から脱した表皮的イメージの結合術」といった内容を作品で展開している。
